The European Policies Research Centre (EPRC) held a meeting for stakeholders in Scotland's bioeconomy on Tuesday 1 November 2016 at IBioIC. Anyone with an interest in Scotland's bioeconomy and its related agendas is welcome to attend. These include the low carbon economy, R&D/innovation, the reduction of waste, and business development.
We would like to gain feedback on our work on stakeholder and public engagement in the bioeconomy. The meeting began with a presentation of lessons learned from six case studies, including Scotland, but also two national cases of Finland and Germany, and three regional cases from Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. We then invited comments, through structured discussion. All perspectives are welcome.
This workshop is part of the BioSTEP project, which is funded by the EU (Horizon 2020) and has partners in five European countries. BioSTEP focuses on stakeholder and public engagement in the bioeconomy. More information on BioSTEP is available here: http://www.bio-step.eu/
